A Brief History

Maple Ridge's story begins in the early 1900s, when Tulsa's oil boom transformed the city almost overnight. As wealthy oilmen and business leaders sought elegant places to call home, Maple Ridge emerged as one of the city's most prestigious addresses. Developers platted the neighborhood between roughly 1910 and 1930, and the grand homes that rose along its curving streets — Tudor Revivals, Colonial estates, and craftsman bungalows — reflected the ambition and prosperity of that era. The neighborhood was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, recognizing its architectural significance and its role in shaping the character of early Tulsa. Today, those same streets and structures stand as a living record of the city's most transformative decades.
